Many of us know of a place that gives us comort. A place where we can open our eyes and not have to dream because everything is right infront of our eyes. Goodness that may only exist in the back of our minds but infact appear to be...real. Japan happens to give me that feeling. As funny as it sounds, I believe that we can fall in love with a place just as much as we can fall in love with a person. We can feel like we belong somewhere just as much as we feel like we belong with someone. You can miss a place in the same manner that you can miss a significant other. I think you get my point. It is a wonderful feeling to be effortlessly drawn to something beautiful.

For the past week I've been trying a few new things. I woke up early to watch the sun rise (that never happens), I drove a jet ski with no knowledge on how to operate the moving vehicle, and I've learned to let loose on a couple of things that would be normally be out of my comfort zone. It still amuses me that I'll have pictures to remember those moments. I can live those moments through those photos. There is a story of life in every picture that we take.

My buddy Chaz conjured up a little workshop and our fellow photographer and friend Marissa and her husband Eddie became our couple for the day. Raechel & Stephanie were also part of the shooting crew. Here's what went down.
